Slow Immersion

Winnie Truong's latest show, Slow Immersion  is a surreal collection of dreamy tresses. The Toronto artist explores our relationship with hair beyond aesthetic beauty, but as a meditation on  expression, personality and security.

Curls, waves and braids entwine with portraits and body parts to create fantasies that are both winsome and unsettling.

These drawings could be the ethereal fairytale princess--

or the thing that eats the princess.

Truongs exhibition is currently on display at Mulherin + Pollard NYC

What's your hair fantasy?

get cut. look good.
